The Challenge
Johns Hopkins ARAMCO Health (JHAH) was undertaking a significant operational modernisation to automate its insurance and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes.
A key priority was bridging the gap between the hospital's clinical systems (EPIC Systems) and their financial enterprise back-end (SAP). Recognising the need for a scalable, intelligent platform to effectively govern claims, revenue cycles, and complex insurance operations across its workforce, establishing a unified, enterprise-grade solution became paramount.
Our Approach
Santechture initiated the engagement by conducting a comprehensive people, process, and technology assessment to formulate a clear, actionable transformation roadmap.
Following the foundational assessment, the team deployed a RCM suite - utilising Robin and Insight. A major focus involved mapping and deploying highly secure, bi-directional API interfaces to continuously synchronise patient demographic and clinical data originating from EPIC Systems (HIS) with the financial management ledgers in SAP (ERP).
The initial suite footprint successfully went live in early 2023. Continuing the trajectory of continuous innovation, JHAH requested an expanded operational scope beginning in 2026, launching a comprehensive migration to Robin 2.0 to support advanced claims management, insurance processing operations, and real-time eligibility verifications.
Santechture’s Impact
Deploying the Santechture ecosystem significantly elevated JHAH's operational efficiency, automating previously manual insurance claims and revenue cycle operations.
Real-time Connectivity:
Enabled fluid, real-time data integration between EPIC and SAP across JHAH facilities, bridging historical data gaps.
Operational Precision:
Meaningfully reduced manual processing time and systematically improved end-to-end billing accuracy.
Future-ready Infrastructure:
Established a scalable, highly adaptable RCM pipeline that successfully accommodated the 2026 expansion and migration to Robin 2.0.
